I’ve always wanted to travel to Los Angeles to see the Stars, experience the delicious food scene, soak up the sun in Venice Beach, see the Hollywood sign and visit the Beverly Hills Hotel. I travelled with my girlfriend, Joelle, who’s been to LA previously and always tells me how amazing LA it is! I was so excited when we actually booked and began my obsessive hunt to find all the cute places.
Our main purpose for the trip was to attend the Create & Cultivate conference and decided to book in a few extra days to explore and pink hunt. Seriously, I LOVE LA.. and I can’t wait to share with you all the pink places we discovered and the Create & Cultivate conference but until then, here’s my guide on Where to Stay in Los Angeles.
Where to Stay in Los Angeles
We stayed at The Hollywood Hotel located in East Hollywood, we loved the Old Hollywood vibes of this hotel. The Hollywood Hotel was central and located right in between West Hollywood and DTLA, where we spent a lot of our time, it was perfect for our six-day trip. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, the rooms were spacious, bright and comfy, the outdoor pool and courtyard were perfect for relaxing from our busy days cafe and pink hunting. Joelle and I did not rent a car for our trip, we relied solely on Uber to get us around this beautiful city!
Travel times to:
- LAX: 30 minutes
- West Hollywood: 10-12 minutes
- Rodeo Drive: 15 minutes
- Downtown LA: 10-15 minutes
- Venice Beach: 20-25 minutes
- Hollywood Sign: 12 minutes
- Closest In-N-Out Burger @ Sunset Blvd bahah: 10-12 minutes

Joelle and I stayed in a very spacious room with two Queen beds, a sitting area and a massive bathroom! Whenever I’m travelling, even though I’m not there to spend my time solely at the hotel, when I do, I want it to be a place with good energy, where I can relax and recharge for my next adventure. This place ticked all those boxes.
The beds and pillows were super comfy (we never wanted to leave our beds). The room was the perfect size for us. Getting ready in the mornings, you can only imagine the chaos that happens when two girls get ready for their day. The bathroom was big enough for the both of us! We spent most evenings relaxing in our robes, chatting and editing photos from the day.
Our room also had a mini-fridge (perfect for when we stocked up on kombucha), a microwave and a digital safe. Did I mention how much I love this bathroom and these tiles?!
The Hollywood Hotel has great amenities:
- Outdoor pool
- Serene courtyard with fountain and garden
- Restaurant (with complimentary breakfast for all guests), Bar and Comedy Club (Thursday-Saturday)
Their outdoor pool was tucked away behind the hotel and was so peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by greenery and palm trees. There were plenty of these cute white and yellow striped lounge chairs, umbrellas and sunshine. I can imagine the locals would say it’s too cold to be laying by the pool but honestly, it was the perfect weather for us! Like seriously, how is this Winter?!
In the centre of the Hollywood Hotel is a cute little courtyard! I would recommend requesting a room that faces into the courtyard, it’s super cute with string lights, a plethora of plants, comfy lounge chairs and a calming fountain. It was completely relaxing and the perfect spot to spend your mornings with a cup of coffee and a great book and in the evenings with cocktails and your bestie.
Joelle and I had a great stay at the Hollywood Hotel, we can’t recommend it enough. The rates were reasonably priced, the rooms were comfortable, the pool and courtyard were so relaxing, we can not wait to come back!
