How to Make Strawberry Frosé Popsicles

How to Make Strawberry Frosé Popsicles

I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this… it’s the perfect time for FROSÉ. The weather is finally being so good to us, it’s only right that we treat ourselves with some frozen rosé popsicles! I picked up my popsicle molds last summer and have been making so many different popsicle concoctions. Super easy to make, I think these Strawberry Frosé Popsicles might be my favourite flavour to date.

If you guys don’t already own a popsicle mould, you need one! I mean, everything tastes better on a stick right? Growing up, we consumed a lot of popsicles. My favourites were those pink, orange and purple ones.. which, I don’t even know what the flavour of the pink one was.. but was always my go-to or another classic.. Fudgsicles! I’m totally making those soon, don’t you worry. It’s coming!

These Strawberry Frosé Popsicles are refreshing, fruity with the perfect amount of booziness. And all you need is a blender! It’s like making a rosé smoothie and I promise I won’t even judge you if you stick a straw in the mixture and start sipping. Here is what you’ll need..

Our Grocery List:

  • a bag of frozen strawberries
  • a bag of frozen raspberries
  • fresh strawberry and blood orange juice (or any fresh juice you love)
  • fresh strawberries
  • one lime

I blended the rosé with frozen strawberries, raspberries and strawberry + blood orange juice to make the strawberry flavour pop. If you can’t find strawberry juice, don’t sweat it, substitute it with fresh orange juice, pineapple or even ruby red grapefruit! A little simple syrup (half sugar, half water) and some fresh lime juice to add a touch of tartness.

Strain the mixture and then carefully pour the rosé mixture into the popsicle molds, only filling 3/4 of the way up leaving room for strawberry slices and the mixture to expand when it freezes. Yup, it’s all about the science, lol! Pop them in the freezer for about an hour to firm up before you add the sliced strawberries and insert the popsicle sticks. Make sure to set a timer because if you’re anything like me.. scatterbrain, you’ll probably forget. The last time I made popsicles I TOTALLY forgot to insert in the popsicle sticks and needless to say, I made ice blocks, not ice pops.

  • 1/2 cup strawberry + blood orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 cup strawberries sliced

  1. In a blender, puree juice, rosé frozen berries, lemon and simple syrup until smooth.

  2. Pass through a fine sieve to remove any seeds and foam.

  3. Pour the rosé mixture into the popsicle molds, filling about 3/4 full. Pop them into the freeze for about 1 hour for the mixture to firm up.

  4. Place 4-5 slice of strawberries into each mould, pop the lid on and insert your popsicle sticks. Freeze for another few hours until the rosé has completely frozen.

I’ve already made one batch and already planning my next! For anyone who loves sipping rosé in the summer, I promise you’ll love these!
