1. Pairing Cakes with Wines

I bartend for a living and I’ve always been intrigued by cocktails, wine and spirits especially when it comes to pairing it with food. There are no real rules (although there are guidelines) to what you can and can’t drink with certain foods. Honestly, at the end of the day, it really just comes down to preference. I never would’ve thought to pair wines with cakes but WINE not? Cake = good. Wine = good. Therefore Wine + Cake = GOOD.

2. I love creating cocktails even though I don’t drink that often. Now I can actually drink with Seedlip’s Non-alcoholic Spirits, it sound absolutely delicious! Not sure if it’s available in Canada but I NEED DIS.

Namaste positive. Sometimes it’s so hard to stay positive and to try to find a silver lining. I made it a goal of mine this year to try and stay positive and surround myself with amazing people that push me to be a better, happier and kinder person. I’ve learned that while you can’t change or control situations or people, you can control how you react to them.

5. One of my other goals this year was to read more. I love reading but find it difficult to sit down with a book when there are so many distractions within reach – TV, Instagram, chores, Instagram, cats, INSTAGRAM. Here’s 8 ways to read more books this year.

A new blog that I discovered this week! I love Blare June’s blog. Her style is feminine with lots of pastels (I’m obsessed!), and she touches on subjects regarding mental health that I feel like a lot of women can relate to, I know I do. I also love seeing women support and empower other women! Love, love, love.
