International Women’s Day
It’s been an amazing month celebrating women! I feel so fortunate to have so many strong, inspiring and talented women in my life. I’ve learned so much about them and about myself. Always surround yourself with positive people, those that push you to be the best person you can be, to be kind to everyone, especially yourself.
STK Toronto x Because I Am A Girl Canada
I had the privilege of collaborating with STK Toronto in their Dare To Be Bold campaign for International Women’s Day. I spent the night with four other beautiful and inspiring women (Rebeca, Joelle, Krystle and Darlene) to raise funds and awareness for our charity of choice, Because I Am A Girl Canada. Beautiful photos by Laura Clarke.

Power of Women’s Symposium
Studio.89, a non-profit organization that empowers young entrepreneurs, hosted their second annual women’s conference, the Power Of Women’s Symposium early this month. They celebrate the achievements, community and collaboration of all women to inspire, be inspired, learn and network.
When Jazzmine, the organizer, reached out to be to be a speaker at the conference, I was nervous. This was my first time ever public speaking. I spoke about my story, where I came from, how I got to where I am today, my challenges and my successes in front of a room full of other inspiring women. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t at all nervous. I’ve always been content with been okay, never really pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. It wasn’t until after I decided to do a solo-trip last October that I realized that we should always be trying new things, experiencing the unknown and always keeping an open mind because how else would we grow as a person?

Google x Pixel Workshop
A stop-motion workshop hosted by Alexa Fernando. Hillory and I were so excited when we were invited to attend Alexa’s workshop and learn how to make a stop motion using a Google Pixel phone, which by the way, I WANT ONE! Here’s what we made:
