15 Dec HOW TO MAKE LINDOR GINGERBREAD THUMBPRINT COOKIES
Last year, I hosted my first holiday cookie exchange party in my home. I invited a dozen new and old friends to come with twelve of their all-time favourite cookies whether they were store-bought or homemade. It was great way to get old and new friends together and just eat, drink and be merry!
This year is a little different, now that December is here and the holidays felt like it crept up on us, instead of hosting a holiday cookie exchange, I thought it would be just as special to send out homemade cookies to my friends and family! Anytime I’m baking anything with chocolate, it’s always with Lindt Chocolate. I always have a back up stock of the larger Lindt Chocolate bars in my pantry. They’re great for chopping into chunks for cookies, they’re great for making chocolate bark, stovetop hot chocolate.. the list goes on!
Every holiday season, I pick up a large stack of holiday baking magazines and one of my top picks is always the Lindt the Season magazine. Lindt the Season celebrates everything chocolate including festive baking recipes, DIYs, gift ideas and inspiration for holiday decor. Sifting through the magazine, there are so many decadent desserts to choose from like Ricardo’s Chocolate Maple Crunch, Lindt Rudolph Peppermint Patties or the Checkered Lindor Tart. I knew I wanted to make cookies and these Lindor Gingerbread Thumbprint Cookies were calling out to me. So, over the weekend, I baked two dozen of their Lindor Gingerbread Thumbprint Cookies and they were SO good!
This cookie recipe is a twist on a classic sugar cookie with a milk chocolate gingerbread chocolate centre. They are super simple to make and take about 20 minutes from start to finish. The cookie is super soft and moist, the chocolate centre is gooey and delicious. I’m drooling just thinking about them and definitely need to remake them!
While I’m sad that I wasn’t able to host my own holiday cookie exchange this year, there will be no shortage of baking and get-togethers. Check out the recipe, and make sure you make these quick and easy Lindor Gingerbread Thumbprint Cookies for your next cookie exchange or holiday party!
