I made these super easy, sweet Strawberry Ice Cream Floats that’s sure to sweeten up your day! The perfect treat for any day, really! I remember loving root beer floats, not quite a smoothie, not quite a dessert. It was strange but delicious!
You are 4 ingredients away from having this delicious Strawberry Ice Cream Floats this weekend! All you need are frozen strawberries, sugar, sparkling water and of course, vanilla ice cream!
All you need is a small saucepan. I brought frozen strawberries and a little sugar to a boil and simmer it on medium-low for about five minutes just to get the strawberries cooking until it’s soft enough to mash with a a fork. You don’t need a blender or a masher, a fork works perfectly. I kind of like it when there’s strawberry chunks in the sauce.
Grab a glass per person, spoon in as much or as little strawberry sauce as your heart desires. The more you use, the sweeter and more strawberry flavoured your float will be! Top the glass almost to the lip with fresh sparkling water. I used my trusty SodaStream FIZZI which I LOVE and seriously can not live without now.
Add a healthy scoop of your favourite vanilla ice cream and an extra dollop of strawberry sauce on top!
