With the holidays quickly approaching, I wanted to share with you my quick and easy hairstyles for the holidays. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to styling my hair, 95% of the time my hair is down and waved. When the holidays roll around, I love getting dressed up and creating different hairstyles just to make it a little more special.
My struggle with my hair is real. I’m always trying to find ways to style my hair using the least amount of heat because it is already damaged from colour and years of the using my flat and curling iron. I also have a lot of hair, my least favourite days of the week are when I have to wash my hair because it always takes so long to dry! I also have colour treated, damaged hair so the thought of blow drying my hair is not appealing to me.
UNTIL I tried the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, this little hair dryer is literally a game-changer. I recently received the new purple and black Dyson Supersonic thats exclusive to Dyson Canada. Its sleek, lightweight and looks anything but ordinary. Having already owned two other Dyson products, the Dyson Ball Animal and the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link purifier, I promise you, Dyson products are worth it. They are always on top of their game in terms of their beautiful, sleek designs, technology and performance.
I love that the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is beautifully designed, it has built-in heat protection and has quick drying abilities. Literally anything that will help make my day easier, I am in! Make sure you add this to your Christmas wish list!
Here are two quick and easy holiday hairstyles that anyone can do!
Watch my tutorial on how to create quick and easy waves with the Dyson Supersonic.
Start with towel-dried hair. Apply a heat styling cream to your hair for a medium hold. Section your hair into 4 parts, braid each section and secure with an elastic. With the Dyson Supersonic, blow dry the braids until they are completely dry. Untie the braids and brush out the waves with your fingers or with a wide-tooth comb. Easiest waves ever right?!
Waterfall Braid and Waves
Part your hair however you’d like, I like to do a side-part. Start your waterfall braid, stop the braid when you’ve reached the halfway mark and secure it with a bobby pin or an elastic band. Pull at the braids to loosen it slightly, spray with hairspray and you are good to go!
The Messy Ponytail
Using the same waves from the previous hairstyle created with the Dyson Supersonic. Part your hair however you’d like. Take a medium size section from the front and loosely start twisting your hair (away from your face) and continue to grab hair as you twist. Stop when you’ve reached the back of your ear. Temporarily hold it in place with a bobby pin.
Do the same for the other side. Then take both twists and cross them over each other at the back. Then take the twists and connect them underneath your hair and secure with an elastic band. Spray with a texture spray and hair spray to keep in place. Pull at some strands and the front and loosen the twist a little.
I dressed it up this hairstyle with these pretty Jen Aitken x Chloe Isabel pins.
